In the West Midlands our focus is on the route map from the small scale to the world-wide stage – the “little acorns” of community based and small scale work that can grow to companies which tour internationally, produce largescale, eye-popping work and have a world class reputation. What are the steps on that journey? What are the conditions that optimise that growth?

We are delighted to announce that Ali Williams of No Fit State Circus will be our keynote speaker to give a insider’s view of this question. No Fit State Circus are leading the renaissance of contemporary circus in the UK, producing professional touring productions at all scales and a wide range of community, training, and education projects for people of all ages. Their mission is - “to be the circus everyone wants to join”.

Following the event Playbox Theatre invites the Elemental guests to stay on for the evening performance taking place.

“Everyone has outside forces that effect them but does anyone actually have total control of their own life? Dance Circe’s self titled show takes a unique look at the subject whilst working in circus/dance and theatre to discover the truth.”
